Artist Portrait Series #1 – Josiah Leming

Last summer we had the unexpected pleasure of hosting American Idol contestant, singer-songwriter Josiah Leming and his road manager, Josef at our home as they prepared to launch Josiah’s 2010 US tour. I took these images at Lestat’s in San Diego.

Too Little Too Late

I wrote and recorded this song in 24 hours, trying to meet an entry submission deadline for a theme song to an up and coming British sitcom about a man flirting with a midlife crisis. Being a huge fan of old episodes of British sitcoms, including Are You Being Served, and As Time Goes By, etc. I couldn’t help but build the instrumental bridge to this song with a strong nod to the musical flavorings of those AWESOME shows. Thanks to the engineering wizardry and outstanding patience of my hubby, Myles Crawley, I met the deadline. Didn’t get the show, but I still think the song would go great with a generous helping of… oh, say, Bill Murray? LOL.
